Hi! I'm Ning! I am current working for NSF NCSES as a research fellow. Also, I am a Geoscience Educational Researcher and Science Communicator with Expertise in Multimedia Design, Geophysics, and Earth Science. I am Interested in How People Learn, Think, Feel and React When They Deal with Complex Systems and Complex Information, such as Climate Systems, Earth Systems, Using Videos and Animations. I Use Mixed Methods to Understand How People Learn from Multimedia and Try to Predict the Effectiveness of Multimedia Designs.
In Addition, I Apply these Mixed Methods to Business UX Research and Help Business Know More About Their Users, and Improve the Design of the Services and Products.

Involved in the Production of 100+ Earth Science videos
Co-Founded 1 Geoscience Studio Lab at UTD
Taught 2 Classes (One for Five Years, One for Two Years) and Assisted 2 Classes for Six Years.
Wrote Seven Grant Proposals (including AAPG Foundation, GSA Graduate Research Grant, AGU, NSF), Four Got Funded.
Received over 10 Scholarships from UT Dallas, GSA, and IRIS.
Received an Award from AAPG (2nd Place).
Gave 15+ Talks at GSA, AGU, CAST, Earth Educator's Rendezvous, AAPG Meetings.
Did 5 Projects, Published 1 Paper, 2 Papers Under Review, 2 Papers in Preparation.
Supervised 5 Undergraduates on Their Research Projects.
